A MESSAGE FOR OUR PATIENTS

TO PROTECT OUR STAFF AND PATIENTS

WE ARE DOING OUR PART TO HELP SLOW THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS
WHILE CONTINUING TO SERVE OUR CENTRAL OREGON COMMUNITIES.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY,
WE HAVE MODIFIED OUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
TO PROTECT OUR TEAM AND OUR CLIENTS
BY CLOSING OUR OFFICE LOBBY TO VISITORS.

SCREENING

Our office will communicate with you before your scheduled appointment to ask a few screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again prior to entering the office. We will test your temperature and may ask additional questions about your health when you are in the office. If you are sick, please call to reschedule your appointment at a time when you are feeling well.

WAITING AREA

Prior to entering the building, we ask that you call to receive verification that the waiting area is prepared for your safety.

PPE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Based on new American Dental Association (ADA) regulations prompted by revised Center for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines for dentists, we have upgraded our surgical masks, gowns, respirators, filters and sterilizers to ensure the health of our patients and our staff health during your visit.

Unfortunately, sourcing these required supplies, including N-95 surgical masks, respirator filters, gowns and gloves, has been challenging due to the volume needed for the nation’s dentists and doctors. As the priority has been given to hospitals, PPE costs have risen commiserate with the increased demand for the limited supply.

Thus, fillings, crowns, cleanings and procedures that produce aerosol require the use of this upgraded Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). As a result, an additional fee may be applied to your bill. Please be advised your insurance may not cover this PPE fee. If that is the case, our office will bill you directly for the fee.

Given the ever-changing PPE requirements and supply chain availability and costs, we may modify the charges to our patients as warranted.

Your safety and health is our primary concern as we actively work to keep patients and staff safe. Thank you for your support and understanding as we all move through this together.

HAND WASHING

We ask all patients to wash their hands upon entrance. We also have hand sanitizer available in our reception area and in other places in the office for you to use as needed.

ETIQUETTE

We request that all patients respect respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette (cover mouth and nose with a tissue and disposal of the tissue after use).

READING MATERIAL

Since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect, we will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys in our waiting room.

PAYMENT

We ask our patients to be prepared to make any payment prior to the procedure. We now request that patients exit our office through the side door to maintain social distancing recommendations.

PATIENT VOLUME

Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That may result in fewer available options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow sufficient time between patients and to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to minimize the number of patients in the reception area at any moment. Unless you require their assistance. please leave family members in the car or at home.

We offer the latest in dental technology at our Bend office to help you maintain healthy teeth and a beautiful smile. Our competent, well trained and educated staff will provide your care. All team members receive regular continuing education in dentistry as well as CPR. Click here to learn more about our team. Through our continuing education we have been exposed to new ideas and technology that we apply to our dental practice. We incorporate proven dentistry techniques into your dental care, including digital X-rays that minimize radiation exposure by 80% compared to conventional X-rays. We use intra-oral cameras that allow you to see and learn more about your oral condition. This has proven to be an invaluable tool in helping patients understand their dental needs. Computer technology employed throughout our offices provides patients with efficient care during each step of their visit. We feel that our patients throughout the Bend area deserve the best dental care available today.
